Deepak Nitrite Plunges 8.4% on Weak Q3 Results: Profit Halves, Margins Shrink

Deepak Nitrite shares tumbled 8.4% in pre-open trade following disappointing Q3 FY25 results. The specialty chemicals maker reported a sharp 51.5% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹98 crore, well below analyst estimates. Revenue fell 5.3% to ₹1,903.4 crore, reflecting softer demand across key segments. Operating margins contracted significantly to 8.9% from 15.2% a year ago, signaling cost pressures and weaker pricing power. The weak performance comes amid challenging conditions in end-user industries like paints and pharmaceuticals. Analysts expect cost optimization and capacity expansions to be crucial for improving performance in coming quarters.
