Delhi's Temperature Tipping Point: When Will the Heat Become Unbearable?

Delhi is preparing for a warmer summer as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts the beginning of a heatwave from April 7. The city will see temperatures above normal and more heatwave days in the April-June period. To counteract the effects, a Heat Action Plan has been put in place by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority that entails early warning systems, awareness programs, and provisions for safeguarding vulnerable groups. Citizens are also requested to stay hydrated and take precautions from direct sun exposure during peak hours. Cooling centers and other relief efforts can be seen in the city too.
