Dietician Challenges Nikhil Kamath's Views on Singapore's Food Culture: "Home Cooking Matters!"

Nikhil Kamath, a co-founder of Zerodha, has come under fire from Rujuta Diwekar, a nutritionist to Bollywood celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, for lauding Singapore's dining-out lifestyle. Many Singaporeans, Kamath recently noted, do not cook at home, and he suggested that India might gain from a similar trend. In her plea for people not to "listen to rich boys," Diwekar emphasized the social and health advantages of eating at home. Regardless of age, gender, or financial status, she promoted cooking at home. Discussions about cultural differences, health consequences, and the possible effects on India's restaurant business should such a shift take place have been spurred by the debate.
