Dollars and Diplomas: The Great American Scholarship Meltdown

A recent announcement from the US State Department to halt funding for prominent scholarships, like the Fulbright and Gilman programs, has sent shockwaves through the Indian student community. Specifically, the freeze impacts more than 350 Indian Fulbright scholars each year, disrupting vital research, cultural programs, and academic partnerships. Students are now staring at the possibility of dropping out or scrambling to find other ways to pay, with a 15% jump in education loan requests.
