Empowering a Billion Dreams: India's Trade Surge Fuels Prosperity

According to the DHL Trade Atlas 2025 report, India is well-positioned to be a major contributor to growth in world trade in the next five years. India's contribution to global trade growth is expected to reach 6%, trailing behind China (12%) and the United States (10%). India's trade is anticipated to rise with a compound annual growth rate of 7.2% during the years 2025-2029, an increase from 5.2% in 2019-2024. The estimated export volume growth is 6.8%, with import volume growth projected be even greater at 7.5%. This anticipated growth in India's trade is facilitated by the country's rapid macroeconomic growth and increasing engagement in global trade. The report states that India has the potential to add $484 billion to trade in the next five years.
