With tensions at the India-Pakistan border rising, major FMCG players are moving quickly to allow smooth delivery of essentials to sensitive locations. Factories have altered shifts-suspended night shifts in perilous zones like Ferozepur-increased stocks, and ensured worker safety by strictly following government advisories. In border states such as Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan, companies are extending credit to the supply chain and dispatching the bare minimum sales force to maintain a market presence.

 

Despite a drop in demand for discretionary items and logistical challenges due to security concerns, FMCG giants assure that supply chains are strong and "good to go" for at least one week. The industry's proactive measures, including stockpiling and shift rotations, are ensuring daily necessities reach communities even as other industries gear up for disruption. These efforts reflect the industry's resilience and commitment in times of uncertainty.
