Axis Bank: Strong Q1 FY27 standalone net profit surged 22.5% YoY to ₹7,113.9 crore (vs. ₹5,806.1 crore). Net interest income (NII) grew 8% to ₹14,646.1 crore. Provisions fell 43.7% to ₹2,222.5 crore. Asset quality showed a minor shift with Gross NPA at 1.28% (vs 1.23% QoQ) and Net NPA at 0.39% (vs 0.37% QoQ).
HDFC Bank: Steady Q1 FY27 standalone net profit increased 5% YoY to ₹19,059.7 crore (vs. ₹18,155.2 crore). NII expanded 6.7% to ₹33,534 crore. Provisions saw a steep 78.8% decline to ₹3,059.8 crore. Gross NPA rose slightly to 1.17% (vs 1.15% QoQ), and Net NPA edged up to 0.41% (vs 0.38% QoQ).
