International commodity markets traded mixed in early activity. Gold futures eased 0.18% to 3,984.80, while spot XAU/USD edged 0.11% higher to 3,981.03, indicating limited directional movement in bullion. Silver underperformed sharply, falling 1.49% to 55.350, while copper declined 0.51% to 6.2505, reflecting pressure across industrial metals.
Energy commodities were relatively stronger, with WTI crude oil rising 1.13% to 79.84 and Brent crude gaining 0.20% to 85.10, signalling firm buying interest in oil contracts. Natural gas, however, slipped 0.24% to 2.887. Overall, crude oil led the gains, while silver recorded the steepest decline among the major commodities.

Reserve Bank of India – Regulatory Directions: The central bank issued prudential norms governing specified non-financial assets acquired by regulated entities.
