From Beach Paradise to Business Powerhouse: Goa's Rs 100 Crore Gambit

Goa Industrial Development Corporation (Goa-IDC) has sanctioned a record Rs 100 crore investment to upgrade industrial estates in the state. The mega project, which was announced by Goa-IDC Chairman Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, involves introducing white topping technology on roads, enhancing water supply networks, and making infrastructure pothole-free. The plan is to counter long-standing industry complaints of sub-standard facilities. Furthermore, Goa-IDC will partner with the World Economic Forum to host AI workshops for MSMEs, making Goa a digitally advanced industrial hub. With 24 industrial estates to gain from, of which is the sprawling Verna Industrial Estate, this initiative heralds a new era for Goa's industrial growth.
