Paying tribute to 200 years of Assam's tea history, Modi cracked a joke, "Who knows the aroma of chai better than a chaiwala?" A record-breaking Jhumoir dance performance by 8,000 dancers was a highlight of the event, and the state displayed its rich cultural heritage. Modi appreciated the tea gardens in Assam and encouraged tourists to visit, encouraging the state's legendary plantations. The Prime Minister's personal experience with tea, based on his childhood years, struck a chord with the audience, reflecting the significance of the industry in Assam's identity and economy.
