Nokia has signed a three-year deal with Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) to build and expand its IP backhaul network across various telecom circles in India. The contract entails implementing Nokia's latest generation IP/MPLS solutions, which include the 7750 SR and 7250 IXR series routers. The upgrade will be made to VIL's network so that it can scale up capacity, reliability, and efficiency in fulfilling growing data demands from future technologies, such as artificial intelligence and immersive gaming. With this partnership, VIL is expected to densify its network, replace legacy systems, and be poised to embrace future technologies.
