From 'Phone a Friend' to 'Fund a Future': KBC Star Harshvardhan Nawathe's Philanthropic Power-Up

Harshvardhan Nawathe, popularly known as the first crorepati on Kaun Banega Crorepati, is now appointed the CEO of JSW Foundation. Nawathe went on to get an MBA in the UK and gained back-to-back experience in the social sector his historic KBC win in the year 2000. He was previously working as a senior executive with NatWest Group and the Welspun Group, but now, since 2023, is in charge as COO, JSW Foundation. Now at 52 years, Nawathe will run the social development arm of the JSW Group which reported a net worth of Rs 7966 crore in the year 2024. This career path is really unique, and says a lot about the legacy created with KBC, which has actually helped shape this extraordinary journey for Nawathe from a TV winner to a corporate leader.
