Game, Set, Olympics: Tandon's Journey from PSA Tour to LA 2028

Ramit Tandon, India's highest-ranked squash player, has his eyes firmly set on the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics and is feeling optimistic about the upcoming Chapter in his athletic career. Tandon is currently ranked world number 33 and has confidently reiterated that the timing of squash's inclusion in the Olympics could not be better. As a 32-year-old senior athlete, Tandon is looking for a seeded position for the LA Games - something he has not achieved previously - this would be important especially from a seeding perspective in the draw. 

 

Tandon has recently been in fine form after winning the Singapore Squash Open and the Seattle Open, demonstrating consistency on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) Tour elite level of play. The recent signing of Tandon by JSW Sports, who provided support for his winning performances is also a positive step in a direction that Tandon feels will not only benefit him, but the squash professional community in India and beyond. 

 

Tandon emphasises that the Olympic opportunity will not just open doors for him personally, but he is excited for the future opportunities and positive visibility it brings to Indian squash.
