Global Alliance Delivers 100 Million Childhood Vaccine Doses Since 2023

The Big Catch-Up Campaign  

The initiative, known as The Big Catch-Up, was introduced during World Immunization Week in April 2023. It aimed to restore routine immunization coverage disrupted by COVID-19, focusing on children aged 1–5 years in vulnerable regions.  

Impact Across Countries  

By March 2026, the alliance had immunized 18.3 million children, including 12.3 million who had never received a vaccine before. Additionally, 15 million children were protected against measles, and 23 million doses of inactivated polio vaccine were administered. The campaign is on track to meet its target of reaching 21 million un- and under-immunized children.
