Government Websites Get a Facelift: India Prioritizes User Experience with New Manual

On February 18, 2025, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) launched the Digital Brand Identity Manual (DBIM) in New Delhi. This initiative aims to unify the digital presence of government websites, mobile apps, and social media platforms under a consistent visual and verbal identity. The DBIM provides guidelines on logos, color palettes, typography, and messaging frameworks to enhance user experience and accessibility. Part of the Gov.In initiative, it aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of technology-driven governance. Union Minister Jitin Prasada unveiled the manual at a high-profile event.
