Govt Will 'Find a Solution' to Support Vodafone Idea, CEO Expresses Confidence

Vodafone Idea CEO Akshaya Moondra has expressed confidence that the Indian government will resolve the AGR issue, given its position as the largest stakeholder. Moondra stated that the company is regularly engaging with the government and believes support will be provided. He cited the recent bank guarantee relief as a clear indication of the government's commitment to support the telecom sector. The CEO also mentioned that Vodafone Idea has restarted discussions with banks for debt funding, although banks are seeking clarity on the AGR front. The government is reportedly considering waiving a substantial portion of AGR dues, which could provide significant financial relief to struggling telecom operators.
