Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has launched a stern campaign to clear all encroachments on Gurugram roads within the next 10 days. The drive aims to take back public space and allow free movement of traffic in the city. The enforcement department is working day and night to identify and knock down unauthorized construction, including shops and parking lots, that have been obstructing roads and green belts. Recent operations have already been very effective, with encroachments cleared from prime locations like the Southern Peripheral Road and MG Road. GMDA is committed to pursuing a zero-tolerance policy in regard to encroachments, depending on the support of the people in keeping Gurugram free from illegal constructions.
