Paradox Interactive’s Hearts of Iron IV launched its Götterdämmerung expansion on November 14, 2024, enabling players to reshape World War II’s trajectory across Europe. The DLC introduces revamped focus trees for Germany, Austria, Hungary, and Belgium, offering monarchist revivals, democratic resurgences, and strategic alliances like a reformed Austro-Hungarian Empire. Players can deploy "Raids" to sabotage enemy infrastructure, assign scientists to nuclear/rocketry projects, and leverage Belgium’s Congo resources for resistance or collaboration. Priced at $24.99, the expansion also enhances AI tactics and adds visible map structures for deeper immersion. Available via Steam and included in the Expansion Pass 1 at a 20% discount.
