Shravan Singh, a 10-year-old boy from Tara Wali village in Punjab's Ferozepur district, has been awarded by the Indian Army for his remarkable assistance to troops during Operation Sindoor, India's biggest military mobilization in recent years.

While Operation Sindoor was taking place along the volatile India-Pakistan border, Shravan Singh, son of a village farmer, emerged as an icon of young patriotism.

In spite of his tender years and the impending specter of war, Shravan volunteered to provide water, milk, tea, lassi, and even ice to the jawans deployed on his family's fields.

Every day, he went around with beverages to soldiers who were wading through the scorching summer heat and the fear of a possible cross-border war.
