Elavenil Valarivan, a two-time Olympian and Asian champion, thrilled fans by securing a bronze in the fiercely competitive women’s 10m air rifle event. Despite leading midway, slight dips in her final shots dropped her to third place with a score of 232.0. She had qualified fifth with 633.4 points and added to the Indian medal tally with the women’s team bronze along with teammates Meghana Sajjanar and Shreya Agrawal.
