Hyderabad: Mar Thoma church to mark platinum jubilee

Mar Thoma Church in Hyderabad is to celebrate Platinum Jubilee on Sunday, after the Worship Service at 8:30 am. Rt Rev. Zacharias Mar Aprem, Episcopa of Delhi Diocese, will be giving the key address. History of the church goes back to 1958 when it got registered under St. Andrews Church Society. The community has since expanded considerably, and new churches have been built in the area. The festivities will also celebrate K.M. Mathew, who is thought to be the first Malayalee to come to Secunderabad in 1902, whose memory continues to motivate the community
