IDBI Bank Launches IDBI Foundation To Drive CSR Impact

IDBI Bank Limited has incorporated IDBI Foundation as a wholly owned subsidiary effective May 19, 2026. The Section 8 company will spearhead the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, focusing on education, healthcare, skill development, rural upliftment, sustainability, and financial literacy to create measurable social impact.

The move underscores IDBI Bank’s commitment to inclusive growth and long-term community development. With RBI approval secured in October 2025, the foundation is positioned to channel resources into high-impact projects aligned with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.  

Objectives And Scope

IDBI Foundation will implement CSR programs across diverse sectors including environmental sustainability and entrepreneurship. By subscribing to 100% of the equity capital, IDBI Bank ensures full ownership and governance of the entity. The foundation will serve as a dedicated platform to strengthen the bank’s social footprint.
