In a thrilling encounter, India clinched a commanding victory over New Zealand, successfully defending their total of 249/9 in 50 overs. The Indian bowling unit, spearheaded by Varun Chakravarthy, bowled out New Zealand for 205 in 45.3 overs, securing a 44-run win.

New Zealand's chase started on a shaky note as Rachin Ravindra fell early, while Will Young and Kane Williamson attempted to rebuild. Williamson stood tall with a fighting 81 off 120 balls, but wickets tumbled at the other end. Daryl Mitchell (17), Tom Latham (14), and Glenn Phillips (12) failed to provide the necessary support.
