India Unveils Groundbreaking National Mission on High-Yielding Seeds in 2025 Budget

In a bold move to revolutionize agriculture, India's 2025 Budget introduces the National Mission on High-Yielding Seeds. This initiative aims to boost crop productivity and farmer incomes by promoting the adoption of 109 new high-yielding, climate-resilient varieties across 32 field and horticulture crops. The mission will focus on enhancing seed quality, improving distribution networks, and conducting technology audits of research institutes to streamline the dissemination of improved varieties. This strategic investment in agriculture is expected to significantly increase India's food production and strengthen its position in the global agricultural market.
