IndiGo Increases Gulf Connectivity: Introduces Direct Flights from Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram to Abu Dhabi

IndiGo, India's leading low-cost airline, has introduced two new direct flights between Abu Dhabi and Kolkata and Thiruvananthapuram. This increase is a major boost in India-UAE connectivity.

Major points:

Kolkata-Abu Dhabi flights will fly four times a week

Three weekly flights will operate on the Thiruvananthapuram-Abu Dhabi route

Operations will begin from March 15, 2025

Bookings are now available on IndiGo's website and mobile application

IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers said, "These new routes show our dedication to strengthening India's link with the Middle East, serving business as well as leisure travelers."

Maureen Bannerman, Abu Dhabi Airports Chief Commercial Officer, further noted, "This growth is consistent with our strategic approach to developing our route network and positioning Abu Dhabi as an international aviation hub."

The additional routes are poised to boost travel and trade relationships between India and the UAE.
