Indonesia Exports 2.06 Million Metric Tons of Palm Oil in February

Indonesia's Central Statistics Bureau reports that the country exported 2.06 million metric tons of crude and refined palm oil in February. This figure reflects a decline in exports compared to previous months, aligning with broader trends in 2025. Indonesia's palm oil exports are expected to decrease further this year due to increased domestic biodiesel demand and aging palm trees. The country remains the world's largest palm oil producer, with major markets including India, China, and Pakistan. However, exports are facing challenges from rising biodiesel mandates and competition from other vegetable oils.
