Inox Clean Energy Commits ₹1 Trillion Investment In Renewables, Solar And Battery Storage By 2030

Investment Roadmap

The company’s investment will focus on building an integrated clean energy ecosystem, covering renewable power generation, solar manufacturing, and advanced battery storage solutions. This positions Inox Clean Energy as one of the largest private sector contributors to India’s green transition.

Renewable Energy Expansion

Through its subsidiary Inox Neo Energies, the firm currently operates a 3 GW renewable platform. It is targeting 15 GW hybrid renewable capacity within 2–3 years, including wind-solar hybrid projects and independent power producer portfolios.

Solar Manufacturing Push

Inox Solar plans to expand its solar manufacturing capacity to 11 GW by FY28, offering end-to-end solutions from solar cells and modules to EPC and O&M services. This expansion will strengthen domestic supply chains for India’s fast-growing solar sector.

Battery Storage And Chemicals

A significant portion of the investment will go into battery chemicals and storage solutions, ensuring energy security and enabling large-scale renewable integration into the grid. This will reduce reliance on fossil fuels and stabilize power supply.

Strategic Acquisitions

Inox Clean Energy has already acquired portfolios such as Vibrant Energy and SunSource Energy (1.6 GW) and a 640 MW hybrid portfolio from Evergreen Group, boosting its renewable pipeline and strengthening its global footprint.
