Jindal Invests ₹700 Crore in Decarbonisation Initiatives

Jindal Stainless, India's largest stainless steel manufacturer, is spending ₹700 crore on a range of decarbonisation projects to lower its carbon footprint. The plan involves a 50% cut in emissions by 2035, well before target, and comes in line with the company's aim to go net-zero by 2050. Some of the major projects include setting up India's first green hydrogen factory for stainless steel production and deploying floating solar power plants. In addition, Jindal Stainless has pledged to generate all incremental power from renewable energy sources, adding to its sustainability drive. These investments reflect the company's focus on environmental stewardship and its contribution to India's green revolution.
