Kalpataru Projects International Ltd Facing Tax Order and Penalty

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd is facing a tax order by the GST Authority of India requiring Rs 10.50 lakh to be paid in taxes along with a fine of Rs 1.50 lakh. Kalpataru Projects International Ltd is also facing a stand-alone tax notice from the Government of Afghanistan regarding non-filing of declarations during FY 2020-21 and FY 2021-22. The Afghan government has asked for a tax liability of around Rs 104.59 lakh, additional tax of Rs 0.14 lakh, and a penalty of Rs 1.98 lakh. The tax notices are for the time when the company recently reported financial performance as there was a 3.12% year-over-year decline in Q3 FY25 net profit at Rs 139.59 crore, with revenue rising 17.09%.
