Kangra Tourism Soars: Foreign Arrivals Hit Record High Post-Covid Recovery

The Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh has experienced a tremendous increase in foreign tourists, with 26,000 arrivals in 2024. This is the highest since the pandemic started. This increase has been seen particularly in Dharamshala and McLeodganj, as tourists are interested in the Dalai Lama's teachings and paragliding among other adventure sports. International visitors continue coming for the scenery and cultural attraction, which remains the strongest rebound for the industry. This should only increase further with more events coming up in the near term, such as the Paragliding World Cup.
