Kannada Film "Tiger's Pond" Makes History at 75th Berlinale

Natesh Hegde's "Vagachipani" (Tiger's Pond) becomes the first Kannada film to premiere at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival. Set to debut on February 15 in the Forum section, this sophomore feature explores themes of power, caste, and human vulnerability in a remote village. Starring Malayalam actor Dileesh Pothan and Hegde himself, the film was shot on 16mm film, adding a raw aesthetic to its narrative. Co-produced by Anurag Kashyap and Ranjan Singh, "Tiger's Pond" aims to make waves on the international festival circuit before seeking distribution in India.
