Karnataka's Railways: A ₹7,564 Crore Boost for Connectivity

In a significant boost to infrastructure, the Union Budget for 2025-26 has allocated ₹7,564 crore for railway projects in Karnataka, marking a slight increase from last year's ₹7,559 crore. This funding prioritizes crucial initiatives like the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project, essential for easing traffic congestion in the city. Additional allocations include ₹352 crore for the Cantonment-Whitefield corridor and ₹549 crore each for key railway lines. This investment underscores the government's commitment to enhancing connectivity and supporting economic growth in the region.
