Lighting the Way: Schneider Electric's Partnership with South Bihar Power

Schneider Electric has joined hands with the South Bihar Power Distribution Company (SBPDCL) to upgrade and improve the power distribution system in South Bihar. The tie-up is focused on providing efficient digital energy solutions, addressing high power consumption and ensuring reliable supply of electricity. Schneider Electric has set up a Command-and-Control Centre and a Disaster Recovery Centre, facilitating real-time monitoring and decision-making to enhance grid connectivity and reliability. The installation of 305 Ring Main Units (RMUs) and 550 Fault Passage Indicators (FPIs) has enhanced fault detection and response times.

 

The EcoStruxure Grid solutions have been proven to greatly increase operational uptime and efficiency, raising power reliability by 90%, energy consumption savings by up to 80%, and cost savings by up to 60%. This collaboration reflects Schneider Electric's determination to drive India's energy transition and enable utilities with intelligent, sustainable solutions.
