Mahindra & Mahindra Unveils State-of-the-Art EV Manufacturing Facility in Chakan

On January 8, 2025, Mahindra & Mahindra announced the launch of its new electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing and battery assembly facility in Chakan, Pune. This state-of-the-art plant is part of the company's commitment to invest ₹4,500 crore in developing two new electric models, the BE 6e and XEV 9e, with a production capacity of 90,000 units annually. The facility aims to bolster India's EV ecosystem and support the growing demand for sustainable transportation solutions. Deliveries of the new models are expected to commence by early 2025.
