Mahindra Revamps the EV Charger Policy for BE 6 and XEV 9e

Mahindra has updated its charging policy for electric vehicles for the BE 6 and XEV 9e models, providing customers with greater flexibility. Earlier, it was compulsory to buy a Mahindra-approved charger, with the cost beginning at Rs 50,000 for a 7.2 kW charger and Rs 75,000 for an 11.2 kW charger. Now, customers can be exempted from this requirement on three grounds: if their home or office has no facilities for a private charger, if they already possess a compatible charger, or if they have more than one Mahindra EV and their multiple cars can charge from a single charging point. This modification can save customers up to Rs 75,000. Production for these models is to start from mid-March, which will be a key milestone in the electric vehicle push of Mahindra.
