Mumbai Welcomes DP World's State-of-the-Art Free Trade Warehousing Zone

DP World, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, has unveiled its latest Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ), the Nhava Sheva Business Park (NSBP), in Mumbai. This cutting-edge facility spans 1 million square feet of warehousing space, with plans to double its capacity in the near future. Strategically located near India's western coast, the NSBP is designed to enhance trade efficiency and strengthen India-UAE economic ties.

The NSBP offers specialized and temperature-controlled spaces, catering to diverse industries. It is part of DP World's $200 million investment in India's logistics infrastructure, which also includes the Integrated Chennai Business Park in Tamil Nadu and the Cochin Economic Zone in Kerala. These zones are seamlessly integrated with DP World's global network, including the Jebel Ali Free Zone in the UAE, ensuring smooth cargo movement and bolstering global trade connectivity.

The facility was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, during his official visit to India. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the significance of this initiative in fostering innovation, sustainability, and economic growth between the two nations.

DP World has also prioritized inclusivity and environmental stewardship at the NSBP. The facility has been awarded Platinum certification by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) for its eco-friendly design. Additionally, 35 women from local communities were recruited to lead operations during the inauguration, reflecting DP World's commitment to diversity and empowerment.
