Neither Force Nor Resistance: Pawan Kalyan on Language & National Unity

Janasena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has made his position clear amid ongoing Hindi imposition controversy. Speaking at his party's 12th Foundation Day function, Kalyan stated, "Neither pushing nor resisting a language blindly is useful for national and cultural integration." He further clarified that National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 does not encourage Hindi but allows students to study two Indian languages along with a foreign language of their choice.".

Kalyan also rained his insults on Tamil Nadu politicians for opposing Hindi but dubbing Tamil films in the language for commercial gains, calling it hypocrisy. This comes after Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin opposed NEP, asserting it aims to impose Hindi at the expense of regional languages.

Kalyan reasserted his commitment to linguistic pluralism, promoting unity in accepting India's multilingual character.
