Nepal’s FM Addresses KIIT Student Death with Indian Envoy

Following the death of a Nepali student at KIIT in Odisha, Nepal's Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba spoke with the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava. They discussed the KIIT situation following the relocation of 700 Nepali students to hostels following protests after the death of the student.
The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu informed that the authorities are investigating the death. KIIT had earlier closed the university to Nepali international students and requested them to vacate the campus, but later on, decided to permit them to come back to hostels and resume studies. The Nepali Embassy in New Delhi requested the university to provide security to Nepali students and two officials were sent to guide students
