Amaravati, the developing capital of Andhra Pradesh, is set to witness its maiden Republic Day celebrations in grand style. The 77th Republic Day fete will be held at the core capital region, marking a significant milestone in the state’s journey of governance and infrastructure development.
Governor S. Abdul Nazeer will preside over the ceremony, unfurling the National Flag at 9 a.m., while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, ministers, and senior officials will attend. The celebrations will feature a parade by Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP), cultural performances, and 22 tableaux highlighting welfare schemes, infrastructure projects, and social initiatives.
Officials, including Special Chief Secretary J. Syamala Rao and District Collector A. Tameem Ansaria, have reviewed arrangements to ensure smooth conduct. The event is expected to draw large crowds, symbolising Amaravati’s emergence as the state’s administrative and cultural hub.
