Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Skips OTT, Actor Unsure About Box Office Fate

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has confirmed that his upcoming sports comedy-drama Sitaare Zameen Par will not release on any OTT platform, stating that he wants audiences to experience the film only in theatres. The movie, set to hit screens on June 20, follows the journey of a disgraced basketball coach training individuals on the autism spectrum.

 

In an interview, Aamir admitted that he is unsure if the film will succeed at the box office, calling it “ill-timed” as action films dominate the market. He reflected on past releases, noting that his films often arrive when audience preferences favor different genres.

 

Despite concerns, Aamir remains confident in the film’s emotional depth, describing it as a heartwarming and beautiful story. He also dismissed rumors of a YouTube pay-per-view release, reiterating that Sitaare Zameen Par will be a theatrical-only experience.
