Air India Express Launches Daily Bengaluru-Kathmandu Flights, Expanding Short-Haul International Network

Air India Express has announced the launch of daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Kathmandu, starting June 1, 2025. This marks the airline’s debut in Nepal, further strengthening its regional connectivity and expanding its short-haul international leisure destinations.

Key Highlights

Flight Schedule & Connectivity:

The flight will depart Bengaluru at 5:05 AM and arrive in Kathmandu at 8:05 AM (local time).
The return flight will leave Kathmandu at 9:05 AM and reach Bengaluru at 12:25 PM.

Expanded Network:

The new route enables one-stop connections to Kathmandu via Bengaluru from 20 Indian cities, including Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, and Srinagar.
International connections are available from Abu Dhabi and Dammam.

Competitive Pricing:

Inaugural fares start at ₹8,000 for Xpress Lite and ₹8,500 for Xpress Value.

Strategic Expansion:

Air India Express operates over 450 weekly flights from Bengaluru, connecting 31 destinations across India and abroad.
The airline aims to strengthen its presence in South Asia, following recent expansions into Bangkok and Phuket.
