Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, has achieved a new milestone by expanding its fleet to 31 aircraft. The latest addition, a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 registered as VT-YBH, landed at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru on December 10, 2025.
This aircraft is among the first built to Akasa’s customized specifications, equipped with Safran Z200 seats offering a four-inch recline, ergonomically contoured backrests, enhanced cushioning, and both USB-C and USB-A charging ports. The upgrades highlight Akasa’s commitment to passenger-centric design and sustainability, aligning with its long-term growth strategy.
CEO Vinay Dube emphasized that each fleet addition represents more than capacity—it reflects Akasa’s promise to deliver comfort, reliability, and innovation based on passenger feedback.
