Allcargo Logistics Ltd, India's foremost integrated logistics major, formally dissolved its wholly-owned subsidiary Jordan Gulf for Freight Services as on May 15, 2025. It is a step as part of its larger overall strategy to improve focus on the key business lines of the firm and simplify worldwide operations.

Important Highlights

The winding up of Jordan Gulf for Freight Services is part of Allcargo's current restructuring, which includes unbundling its international supply chain (ISC) business and housing its express and contract logistics businesses into separate entities.

The restructuring is aimed at improving operational efficiency, releasing value for the shareholders, and positioning Allcargo for steady growth in domestic and overseas markets.

Allcargo's international presence is still strong, with operations in over 180 countries and a strong network through its lead international business arm, ECU Worldwide.

The company has continued to grow its major logistics segments such as LCL (Less than Container Load), FCL (Full Container Load), air freight, and contract logistics, and there has been notable year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter volume and profitability improvements.

The restructuring, which will complete after receiving regulatory approvals, will involve the demerger of the ISC business into a new company, Allcargo ECU Limited, and keeping the domestic supply chain, express, and contract logistics businesses with Allcargo Logistics Ltd.

The demerger of non-core subsidiaries such as Jordan Gulf for Freight Services is part of the strategy of Allcargo to concentrate resources in high-growth, high-margin areas and solidify its leadership position in the global logistics business.

This move reflects Allcargo's focus on rapid business transformation and its intent to provide end-to-end, technology-driven logistics solutions to global customers.
