Microsoft and the Andhra Pradesh government have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to provide 2 lakh young people with advanced technology and artificial intelligence (AI) skills over the course of the upcoming year. The program, which was unveiled on March 13, 2025, intends to improve employability and get students ready for opportunities around the world. Microsoft will use digital productivity tools to offer 40,000 youth, 10,000 engineering students from rural colleges, and 30,000 ITI students top-notch training as part of the program. Furthermore, 500 educators will receive training on integrating AI into the curriculum. To enhance public services, 100 hours of AI training will also be provided to government officials. Microsoft will handle certification and curriculum development, while the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation will support the training infrastructure. Nara Lokesh, the minister of information technology, highlighted the state's dedication to becoming a hub for future-ready talent.
