Ashoka Buildcon Bags ₹1,387 Cr Smart Traffic Project Across Maharashtra

Ashoka Buildcon Ltd, along with its tech arm Ashoka Purestudy Technologies Pvt Ltd, has secured Letters of Intent from the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Department for a massive ₹1,387.19 crore project to implement an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) across five key regions in the state.
 
Key Highlights:
  • 10Year Project Scope: The contract spans design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of ITMS infrastructure over a decade, covering Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Marathwada, and Konkan & Western Maharashtra.
  • CircleWise Allocation: Estimated budgets include ₹291.49 crore for Mumbai, ₹285.23 crore for Pune, ₹179.97 crore for Nagpur, ₹314.96 crore for Marathwada, and ₹315.54 crore for Konkan & Western Maharashtra.
  • Smart Infrastructure Goals: The ITMS will feature realtime traffic monitoring, AIpowered surveillance, adaptive signals, and automated enforcement, aiming to reduce congestion and improve road safety.
  • Execution Timeline: The implementation phase is expected to take 15 months, followed by 10 years of operations and maintenance.
