AXISCADES and MBDA Deepen Strategic Ties with New Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru

AXISCADES Technologies Ltd and European defence major MBDA have announced an expanded strategic partnership, unveiling plans to establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Test Benches in Bengaluru. This move builds on their decadelong collaboration and aims to support MBDA’s global test solution needs, including for its MICA missile systems.
 
Key Highlights:
  • New Facility: The CoE will be located at AXISCADES’ upcoming premises in Aerospace Park near Kempegowda International Airport, spanning 42,000 sq. ft. with advanced labs, tools, and trained personnel.
  • Scope of Work: The centre will handle design, development, and production of multiple test benches simultaneously, catering to MBDA’s global requirements.
  • Make in India Push: The initiative strengthens MBDA’s offset and indigenization commitments, aligning with India’s defence manufacturing goals.
  • LongTerm Collaboration: AXISCADES has been delivering builttospec and builttoprint test solutions for MBDA since 2018, particularly for the MICA missile and launcher systems.
  • Leadership Remarks: AXISCADES Chairman Dr. S. Ravinarayanan called the CoE a “powerful testimony” to the company’s leadership in test solutions. MBDA’s Florent Duleux praised AXISCADES for consistently delivering highquality systems on time and on budget.
This expanded partnership not only reinforces AXISCADES’ role in India’s defence ecosystem but also positions it as a key player in MBDA’s global supply chain.
