The Baldota Group has announced plans to invest ₹54,000 crore in setting up an integrated steel plant in Koppal, Karnataka. This mega project will have a production capacity of 10.50 million tons per annum, significantly expanding the group's presence in the steel sector.
The investment marks a substantial increase from the previously announced ₹18,000 crore for a 3.5 MTPA plant in the same location. This expansion aligns with India's growing steel demand and the National Steel Policy Vision 2030.
The plant, to be located in Halavarthi village, Koppal district, is expected to create substantial employment opportunities and boost the local economy. With this investment, the Baldota Group aims to position itself as a major player in India's steel industry.
