As India is moving into the second Saturday of June, bank customers must be informed of the national bank holidays in India. Banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month according to Reserve Bank of India regulations, making June 14 a bank holiday throughout India.
Nationwide Closure and Exceptions
All public and private sector banks will remain shut in India due to the second Saturday rule.
There will also be customer closings in Punjab, Haryana, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh due to Sant Kabir Jayanti and Raja Sankranti.
Alternative Banking Facilities
Although there will be branch closures, digital banking channels such as UPI, mobile banking, and ATMs will be available.
Online banking for fund transfers, bill payments, and details of balances can go on uninterrupted.
Upcoming Bank Holidays in June
June 22: Tripura banks remain closed on the occasion of Kharchi Puja.
June 27: Odisha and Manipur will remain on holiday for Ratha Yatra.
June 30: Remna Ni celebration will have Mizoram banks remain closed.
Customers are kindly requested to arrange their financial transactions accordingly and use digital banking facilities for uninterrupted services.
