Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), one of India's top defence public sector enterprises, has declared the award of new orders worth around ₹5.72 billion (₹572 crore). The recent victory is the addition to a series of major contracts won by BEL in recent months, which testifies to the company's strong grip on India's defence production space.

Key Highlights

The orders, valued at ₹577 crore, comprise significant programmes like airborne electronic warfare products, advanced composite communication systems for submarines, Doppler weather radar, train communication systems, radar upgradation, spares, and associated services.

These orders have taken BEL's cumulative order inflow so far in the ongoing financial year (FY25) to ₹13,724 crore, with evidence of robust demand for its cutting-edge electronic and defence solutions.

The order book of the company is now pegged at approximately ₹75,000 crore, offering good revenue growth visibility and underlining BEL's long-term horizon.

Management has cited a strong pipeline, guiding order inflows of about ₹25,000 crore for FY25, fueled by ongoing investments in electronic systems and sub-systems across both defence and non-defence markets.

The new deals further consolidate BEL's position as a major Indian strategic defence partner, helping the nation pursue self-reliance in core technologies.

Market Response

The news of these orders has been received positively in the market, as investors appreciate BEL's consistent success in winning large-sized projects and having a robust order book. This trend is likely to support the company's financial performance and continue its leadership in the industry.
