Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has secured new orders worth Rs 962 crore, including a significant Rs 610 crore contract for Electro-Optic Fire Control Systems for the Indian Navy. This latest acquisition pushes BEL's total order book for FY25 to Rs 11,855 crore, showcasing the company's strong position in India's defense sector. The orders include advanced systems like anti-drone technology and vessel communication systems, aligning with the 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' initiative. Despite a slight dip in share price, BEL's recent financial performance remains robust, with a 47.3% year-on-year increase in net profit to Rs 1,316 crore and a 39% rise in revenue to Rs 5,756 crore.
